Hi there and welcome!
My name is Cathy and I love photos. Obvious, right? But seriously, as a kid I loved looking through all my parent's photo albums all the time! As soon as my parents bought a 35mm camera, I basically took it over and started shooting everything I could! My poor parents probably spent a small fortune on film and developing costs! Thank goodness we now have digital! In high school I took my first photo class and was on the yearbook committee. I still love seeing my photos in print! After graduating from college in a completely different field, I knew I still needed a creative outlet. I LOVE taking great images for others and so Cathy Kurtz Photography was created!
In March 2021 I opened a Studio located at 8836 Greenback Avenue, Suite E in Orangevale. It's amazing to have my own space so I can offer studio portraiture for those who don't want to do their sessions outdoors. It's nice to have options!
